With a base price of $110,500.00 one must wonder what the need is for an aftermarket program. Many may already be impressed with the appearance of BMW’s new 7 series sedan; its unconventional lines seem to reflect the spirit of Bimmer’s future. For many the discreet differences between do little to warrant the upgrade from the 745 to the 760. But to a select few, the differences are not good enough.

For Norma the 760-labeled trunk and V12-badged fenders were not good enough to quench her thirst. She had a need to make her 760 the best thing to come out of Bavaria. Already an avid BMW enthusiast Norma looked to Hamann Motorsport, the same tuner which tuner her E46 M3.

Founded in 1986 by 3-time German Touring Car Champion Richard Hamann-Hamann Motorsport has become known the world over for being the Germany’s largest tuning house. Mr. Hamann utilizes his 20+ years of motorsport experience, along with state-of-the-art technology to create the most cutting edge modified vehicles on the road today.

Mr. Hamann created his E65 tuning program with one goal in mind-To cement BMW’s flagship 7 Series at the top of the food chain. Hamann Motorsport’s aero program gives the E65 the aesthetic bite it needs, and is comprised of 5 pieces. The front add-on spoiler, side skirts, a rear apron with diffuser, and spoilers for the roof and deck lid. The front and rear spoilers are designed to reduce under body lift, while the roof and deck lid are used to increase down force on the mammoth of a vehicle. Hamann has also created side skirts with matching door panels that not only cut side drafts from the vehicle, but also visually stretch the 760. At the aft of this vessel a twin oval 90mm exhaust system has also been added to allow for the V12 to fully voice it opinions.
Given the E65’s massive size, nothing less than a 22" wheel had to be chosen. From the Tuner side Hamann Motorsport has created its 5 spoke classic, the PG-3 in a 22x9.5 and 22x11.5. The Hamann PG-3 wheel is comprised of a spun aluminum lip which drastically reduces the overall weight of the wheel, and also eliminated a lot of problems caused by other heavy weight wheels. Also shown on the 760 are the Radenergie R16 Super Mesh wheels. Radenergie has built their R16 design exclusively in a 22" diameter. For the 7 series they are made in a 22x9.5 and 10.5 widths.

Eventually the Avus AF-501 22" was chosen as its rolling stock. The Forged Multi Piece Avus AF-501 has been built in a 22x9 and 22x11 to fit. Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires in 265/30/22 and 295/25/22 were chosen to plant this 760 to the ground.

We must not forget that in addition to all of the aftermarket goodies, the E65 760 still comes out of the box with a 6.0L V12 that puts out 438 HP and 444 Ft Lbs of torque, which is what makes this sedan Bavaria’s Heavyweight Champ
