After the successful launch of the ZE-NC2010, a vehicle-specific navigation/multimedia system especially for the VW Golf V and VI range, the multimedia spe******t Zenec is now introducing a further naviceiver from its E>GO series: the ZE-NC2040, custom-fit for vehicles in the Golf IV range, the Audi A4 B6, and A6 C5 as well as for various SEAT models.
With the new ZE-NC2040, Zenec once again emphasises its consequential brand strategy: visually and functionally perfect integration into the vehicle, state-of-the-art technology and fantastic features, simple use, and a sensational cost/performance ratio as compared to comparable ex-works systems. Zenec’s E>GO is compatible with all modern storage media – from CD, DVD, USB, SD and iPod to the iPhone – and works with the up-to-date Bluetooth technology from the spe******t Parrot. The integrated navigation system is also a trendsetter that enables fast and comfortable navigation true to the last detail in all of Western and Eastern Europe.
Zenec’s E>GO series – short for Exchange and Go – offers custom-fit navigation and multimedia systems that are precisely tailored to specific car models. With the ZE-NC2040, Zenec has expanded its product portfolio with a naviceiver that has been especially developed for installation into the vehicles in the Golf IV range, the Audi A4 B6, and A6 C5 as well as for various SEAT models. E>GO’s design is especially integrated into the interior appearance of these types of vehicles: from the red button illumination to the characteristic design of the operating panel. This is not all, though: it can also be easily installed in record time without requiring any complex work. The electrical connection works simply using Plug & Play onto the original vehicle connector. The immense range of the device’s functions, its up-to-date entertainment and navigation features, its simple use, and uncomplicated installation are the central points that also characterise this vehicle-specific navigation from the E>GO series.
Multimedia unlimited
Zenec’s new vehicle-specific naviceiver is a multifunctional AV centre that is compatible with all modern storage media – from CD, DVD, USB, SD and iPod to the iPhone. In addition to an RDS tuner for the best radio reception, the ZE-NC2040 also has an integrated digital power amplifier (4 x 50 watts) and a Dolby Digital Decoder at its disposal. The ZE-NC2040 is equipped with a USB port and a SD/SDHC card reader so that music, movies, multimedia files, or pictures can be easily played on the E>GO. The card slot is easily accessible on the front of the device and is usable for SD and SDHC cards with a memory volume of up to 8 GB.
Fast precise navigation across Europe
Zenec accepted no compromises with the integrated navigation system and trusted in the cooperation with leading spe******ts. Keeping with this, the navigation originates from the renowned spe******t Nav n Go. The detailed map material from 43 countries in Western and Eastern Europe is pre-installed onto the internal 4 GB NAND memory – keeping the SD card slot free for multimedia usages. The E>GO is equipped with all functions that constitute a modern state-of-the-art navigation system: various 3D landscape/city map views, tunnel mode, split screen mode, lane assistant, smart zoom function, real signpost rendering, premium POI database, and a trip computer. Thanks to the TMC/TMC Pro receiver, current traffic reports are available at any time – TMC is functional ex-works in the ZE-NC2040; the TMC Pro Service can be paid and activated at the online portal naviextras.com.
Wireless communication using Bluetooth
Zenec’s naviceiver enables comprehensive connections and comfortable use of a Bluetooth capable mobile phone from the ZE-NC2040. Zenec has also trusted in top state-of-the-art technology for the integrated Bluetooth module. The ZE-NC2040 is equipped with the high end CK5050+ Bluetooth module from the hands-free spe******t Parrot. This module features especially efficient software for echo and noise reduction – the so-called Beamforming. Aside from the extremely versatile hands-free uses, the ZE-NC2040 can also read audio files that have been saved on the mobile phone (audio streaming via A2DP with AVRCP profile) and play them in excellent quality using the car speakers.
iPod and iPhone ready
The ZE-NC2040 is, of course, iPod and iPhone ready for all models: the connection takes place using a separately available wire. While the video or Podcast playback when used with many naviceivers must still be controlled on the iPod or the iPhone, you can enter all commands directly into the ZE-NC2040’s touchscreen, and it passes them on to the Apple player.
Updates secure the future
The ZE-NC2040 is a permanently installed navigation device that is not only modern today, but will stay so in the future – this is guaranteed by the numerous possibilities to update the E>GO’s software via the USB interface. You can update the operating system (to implement new functions) or the Parrot Bluetooth module – so that the ZE-NC2040 will always stay compatible with new periphery devices. You can comfortably carry through all software updates using USB. There are downloadable updates at zenec.com; the user himself can use a USB stick to install the updates, or a Zenec dealer can help with more complex updates. At the online portal www.zenec.naviextras.com, you can update the E>GO’s navigation software or expand it with additional countries/cities or the newest 3D city maps.
Additional components from the Zenec range
You can, of course, connect further additional components from the comprehensive Zenec range to the E>GO – a DVBT tuner, external monitors, or a rear-view camera, etc. You can easily make all adjustments on the ZE-NC2040’s touchscreen or with the IR remote control. You can, for example, connect two headrest monitors to the AV outputs that will help create a true cinema feeling on the rear seat.
