Whether on the highway, a curvy mountain pass, or even bumpy cobblestones - with the adaptive KW DDC ECU coilover kit, the Audi TT is always adjusted to the perfect road condition. To adjust the damper setup at the Audi TT to the drivers own driving style, they do not have to turn directly on the suspension at adjustment wheels anymore but they can configure the damping characteristic easily by KW DDC App. "By using the intuitive operating App, the dampers can be adjusted to personal preference when driving and to the road surface", said Product Manager Johannes Wacker.
"Depending on the adjustment, the TT responds tighter or more comfortable." With the KW DDC App, the adaptive dampers of the KW DDC ECU coilover kit can be adjusted in their damper setup on each axle continuously from maximum "Comfort"-identifier with a very soft damping (displayed in the App with 0%) up to Sport+ damper setup (displayed in the App as 100%). Vehicle specific the KW DDC App has a safety control range. "If there is for example a heavy suitcase in the trunk, the dampers at the rear axle can be adjusted easily via the App. The five available storage places allow to store different damper setups for different tracks and you can also share them with friends via email. "Among the personal setups, for example the perfect damper setting for the mounted tire / wheel combination can be stored. In addition, there are still the three driving modes "Comfort", "Sport" and "Sport+" available to be selected either by App or via the KW DDC button from the cockpit. The continuous lowering of 10 to 35 mm will be made just like at every KW coilover kit for the Audi TT (8J series) at the front axle strut and at the rear axle height adjustment from 5 to 30 mm within the TÜV-tested adjustment range.

In "Comfort" mode of the adaptive KW DDC ECU coilovers, the dampers not only act with a comfort-oriented identifier, but the KW suspension control unit adjusts the damping characteristics independently to the driving speed. In the mode “Sport” the dampers work agile, while in "Sport+" mode, the sporty damping characteristics is in focus and even the Audi TT RS Coupé wins significantly on driving dynamics by KW DDC ECU coilovers. At a voltage drop, the KW DDC ECU coilover kit automatically changes into a mechanical fail-safe mode; a proportional valve
immediately adjusts into a neutral middle position and the dampers continue to work in the KW basic setup. Therefore all eventualities and operator errors are defused.

When installing the KW DDC ECU coilovers, the original strut will be replaced by a completely mounted KW coilover strut in „inox-line“ stainless steel finish. It allows a continuous lowering of 10 to 35 mm at the front axle. At the rear, there is a margin of lowering within the German TÜV-tested adjustment range of 5 to 30 mm. The KW DDC ECU coilovers for the Audi TT 8J are available from now on for all TT Coupé, TTS Coupé and TT RS Coupé models including W-LAN module. For those who do not need the possibility to individually adjust the adaptive coilovers in the damper characteristics per App, this suspension kit is also available without App control. The right TÜV certificate is part of the delivery content just like the complete installation accessories.
In the next few months, KW automotive will develop and launch further innovative suspension solutions with Smartphone compatibility for the product family KW iSuspension.
